Mushrooms & FODMAP FAQ
Are Mushrooms low FODMAP?
High FODMAP — high in mannitol. Common button mushrooms are high in the polyol mannitol, making them high FODMAP. Oyster mushrooms and canned (drained) mushrooms are the low-FODMAP exceptions.
Can I eat Mushrooms on a low-FODMAP diet?
Mushrooms are high FODMAP and best avoided during the elimination phase, as they are high in Mannitol. Reintroduce carefully later to find your personal tolerance.
